Course tuition: Paid directly by AusAID to the Australian academic institution. |
|
Establishment allowance: A once-only contribution of 5,000 AUD for initial expenses such as a deposit or guarantee fee for rental accommodation, texts, study materials, and some types of insurance.

Contribution to Living Expenses (CLE): Approximately 30,000 AUD (Australian dollars) per year, paid fortnightly directly to the scholarship student to contribute to living expenses, such as accommodation, food and transport.

Health Insurance (Overseas Student Health Cover - OSHC): Basic health cover. The scholarship student can also acquire, by paying the cost, additional insurance to cover other medical care, such as dental, physiotherapy, etc.

Mobilisation Travel expenses: Return flight from the student's home country to Australia, via the most direct route available in tourist class (economic).

Introductory Academic Program (IAP): Compulsory program with duration of 4 to 6 weeks. It is specially designed for AusAID scholarship students.

Pre Course English (PCE): The Australian university will determine if this course is necessary for the student to be able to complete his or her studies during the required period.
Note: To be considered, the scholarship student must have obtained the minimum score stipulated in the eligibility requirements on his or her English test, and meet the conditions necessary to achieve, within six months, the minimum English level required for the candidate's program of preference. The maximum duration of this course is six months.

Supplementary Academic Support: This academic support can be provided if the institution determines that it is essential in order to ensure the student's good academic performance.

Reunion Airfare Entitlement: Return flight for the Australia Awards awardee to travel to his or her home country for a reunion visit, as long as the student travelled alone to Australia and his or her program meets certain specific conditions.

Fieldwork: Air travel within Australia or to the home country for the scholarship student that is coursing a study program that involves research. Fieldwork must be a requirement of the study program and the details of this activity must have been registered in the scholarship application from the beginning.
