One of the best ways to help people overcome poverty is through economic growth which offers opportunities to earn a living, grow personal income, and increase employment.
Support of Governance.
Improve public sector capacity to provide better services and strengthen public agencies at the central/federal, regional/state, and municipal levels.
Social stability, a good quality government and public sector, and an engaged and civil society all contribute towards a better environment for job creation and services for the poor population. Thus, governance programs support a wide range of other developmental goals

Humanitarian Aid.
Help in developing effective preparations and early response, as necessary, to these events.
According to the United Nations Development Programme, Latin America and the Caribbean have the second highest incidence of floods, landslides, earthquakes, and droughts in the world. These natural disasters threaten to wipe out decades of hard-won developmental progress, and have a disproportionate impact on the poor who live in the vulnerable regions and have fewer resources to withstand them
