Patricio Meller is a civil Engineer from the University of Chile, and holds a PhD in Economics from the University of California at Berkeley. He is full professor at the Industrial Engineering department of the University of Chile. Executive Director of CIEPLAN. He has specialized in international and Latin American economy. He was Director of Codelco. He chaired the Presidential Advisory Council on Equity during Michelle Bachellet’s administration.

He has authored many publications and a series of books on Chilean economy, mining and international trade, among other topics.
