Jorge Ignacio Pizarro Cristi studied history at the Universidad Católica de Chile and holds a master’s degree in comparative politics from the London School of Economics, United Kingdom.
Prior to his appointment as executive vice-president of the Foreign Investment Committee, he worked in the private sector as general manager of Puro Chile Corp., managing Puro Wine Retail Space and Puro Chile Event Space and Business Platform in New York. He also has experience in the public sector where he served as an advisor to the Interior Ministry and the Ministry’s representative for international affairs before the OAS, the United Nations, Mercosur and APEC (2008-2010). In addition, he has served as an associate professor at the Universidad Católica de Chile for the course on Twentieth Century European History (2007-2009).
