Mining Engineer from University of Chile, with a Diploma in Corporate Finance from Adolfo Ibañez University. He has thirty years of experience in the national private mining sector. He is a mining businessman, university professor, consultant, senior executive and director of mining companies. Director of Empresa Nacional de Minería (Enami) and of the mining companies Teck Quebrada Blanca, Teck Carmen de Andacollo, Minera Valle Central and Amerigo Resources Ltd., BC, Canada. (President of the Mining Engineers Foundation at University of Chile). In addition, he is a counselor of Instituto de Capacitación Profesional, (INACAP). At present, he is President of the National Mining Association of Chile (SONAMI) and of the Latin American Mining Organization (OLAMI) (and Vice President of the Inter-American Mining Association (SIM).
